The DPS Society
Delhi Public Schools, with the motto “Service Before Self”, have been serving the Society in the field of education for the last 77+ years. There are presently as many as 227 schools under its aegis, both in and outside India.
The society was founded and managed by distinguished members and luminaries of society, from various walks of life. The organization has always guided its member schools on the path of progress with their visionary approach & lofty ideas. Consequently, Delhi Public Schools have become significant portals of learning and growth of young minds.
Their credo is to provide an all-round development & a sound moral base. Fostering character building & nurturing the inquisitive spirit of children, encouraging scientific temperament & strengthening social bonds, are their constant endeavours.
Surging ahead with a spirit of healthy competition, balancing a successful career teamed with a contended life is the gift they wish to give to all DPS children.
Guiding the DPS Schools in these efforts is Mr. V.K. Shunglu, Chairman DPS Society, who is a constant beacon and source of strength.

Ms. Vrinda Sarup
Chairperson, DPS - Sector 84
"Ms. Vrinda Sarup is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with a record of over 38 years of distinguished service, specializing in the Social Sector and Finance. A Master’s degree holder in History from Delhi University, Ms Sarup joined the IAS in 1981 and held several key positions both at the Central and State Govts, contributing as an implementer and policymaker.
Ms. Sarup served as the Secretary, School Education and Literacy in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, where she played a key role in the formulation and implementation of major national education programmes of the District Primary Education Programme and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for elementary education and the revised Vocational Education Programme at the secondary/senior secondary level. As the Principal Secretary, Finance and Technical & Vocational Education in Uttar Pradesh, she contributed to policy development and implementation. Ms. Sarup has worked closely with international organizations such as the World Bank, DFID (UK), UNICEF, European Union and the World Food Programme.
Ms. Sarup continues to engage and stays actively committed to the cause of education even post retirement.”
